If you’ve never had Blondies before, they are brownies that are made without cocoa powder. Instead of the chocolate flavor, they have a rich vanilla flavor. All you really need to know is that they’re seriously good!

INGREDIENTS:

organic dark brown sugar big country

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F degrees. Line a 13×9 inch pan with a parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, light brown sugar, and dark brown sugar until combined.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to sugar and egg mixture, stir just until combined.
  5. Mix in chocolate chips and toffee pieces.
  6. Spread mixture into prepared, lined 13×9 pan. Bake at 350 F degrees for 27-30 minutes, or until the top is shiny and edges are browned. Will seem slightly underbaked, but it will continue to cook when you take out of the oven!
  7. Let cool for at least 10-15 minutes, before cutting into squares. Cut into 12 squares for extra large blondies, or cut into 18 squares for smaller blondies.

TIPS:

* Mix in whatever “chips” you want or have on hand, with a total of 2 cups of mix-ins! Can use white chocolate chips, pecans, walnuts, milk chocolate chips, or peanut butter cups.

* If you don’t have both brown sugars on hand, you can use 2 cups of all light brown sugar or all dark brown sugar. The dark brown sugar will make your blondies a bit sweeter and richer!
